It dates back to somewhere between the years of 18, based on the date of the mark.
for this particular cartouche mark; however, those were the years we were at war with Germany.

Found on this child's tea set, now in my private collection. It came down through her family to her from her great grandmother who was born in 1888, apparently in America.Amanda said it appears that her great great grandparents were immigrants from Germany.
